Our story
Why I built The Inside Look
I was spending hours searching everywhere for recommendations, and even then I still didn’t know if the provider would actually be right for me. Scrolling Instagram, then TikTok, then Google. Saving posts I would never find again. Texting friends for names. Driving farther than I wanted to because someone swore by a provider across town.
Even then I would sit in the chair wondering whether the recommendation actually applied to me. My hair, my skin, my budget, the kind of appointment I wanted. The details that would have answered that were scattered across group chats and comment sections, and then they disappeared.
That was the real problem. Recommendations were everywhere. What I could not find was enough context to tell whether any of them were right for me.
I wanted more than a name, a rating, or a recommendation. I wanted the context that helps you understand whether someone is actually right for you. That idea became The Inside Look.

What we believe
Context matters
A rating alone does not tell you whether someone is right for your needs.
Real experiences matter
People deserve useful details from others who have actually been there.
Fit matters
Highly rated doesn't always mean right for you. The right fit comes down to your needs, preferences, and the experience you're looking for.
